Very true its very rehearsed, been in that situation myself as a kid on the platform (being told what to say, knowing full well inside that i did not want those personal goals) very sad.

Defence of watchtower society Links
by reniaa ini thought long and hard before making this thread, that many will not agree with it but i think there needs to be balance and people to realise there are alternate viewpoints out there on many of these subjects, the ones that are most spoke about on this forum.
i was recently sent a full message containing mary's book and these links give the rebuttal to many of her points.
those that are still open-minded enough feel free to look over them even if in the end you still don't agree at least you have heard both the defence as well as the attack as they are on the internet.

I have also been to a witness funeral where ive seen total disrespect for the service and the loved ones family,i fully understand how angry this makes you. it truly makes me feel sick that they are this way and i'm dreading my own grandmother passing not only because i'll have to sit through their ramblings and enter a K.H again but because it won't feel like a 'normal' funeral where you can grieve properly.I remember when i was young attending various peoples funerals from the congregations and i'd seem to be the only person crying so much, then i'd get my mother telling me to 'stop it' as it wasnt a good witness and i quote 'we have the hope of the resurrection'

well i'm off to stay with my very witness parents very soon (for a few days, which is long enough) i do love them but its very hard being around them a lot of the time.
im fully aware that we have to come to our own decisions on the matter of realisation but i was wondering if anyone has any tips as to where i could start in craftily helping them, giving them something to perhaps think about ??

With respect, youre thinking of becoming a witness again arent you ? thats entirely upto you and yes you do reflect this desire in your reply. i wish you all the best but youve obviously not been in my situation or you wouldnt have to ask if you had been. im not trying to strip my parents of their happiness as i happen to know they are not happy and also i know that being j.w's is causing their personal anxieties. i shant go into all that now but there are many many people on here who know exactly how i feel and what im trying to do for the good of their health.
